it is cooling off in the north bay with 45 in novato. 45 in santa rosa. a little warmer in the south bay with 50 in san jose. but the biggest change, these over the past 6 to 12 hours has been the winds. they went from the dry offshore wind to now more of a southerly component. not only going to import cooler weather for the weekend, but look at this, for the first part of the weekend cloud cover moving from from the south. that's going to be shrouding up these the first part of your saturday. let's take you live outside our hd sky camera network. you can see poor air quality towards the bottom of the screen. but if you look straight up tonight, you're going to notice that increased cloud cover. also in san francisco, this isn't pollution at the lower levels. that's actually some stratus. that low-lying fog beginning to move into san francisco. and those city lights shining bright. probably a big night out on the town tonight with a lot of people celebrating hopefully a niners win here as we head throughout sunday. i don't want to jinx it. i'm just saying. we do have the system offshore as we he

the wind going. temperatures in the low 40s. san jose 44 degrees. santa rosa 42. some locations in the north bay valleys probably will drop into the mid 30s by tomorrow morning. wind speed still fairly blustery from 15 to 20 miles per hour. that's good news when it comes to air quality, stirring up all the pollution we've had around the bay area. so finally good to moderate air quality as we wrap up the weekend. but those chilly winds bringing some change down the coast. you can see on the radar just a lone shower here off bodega bay. more moisture coming down the coast is going to cross over our heads as we wake up till tomorrow morning. you can see how some of the rain has moved into sacramento and yes, snow, right now in the sierra. probably 2 to 4 inches around lake tahoe as the system moves on to northern nevada. there's not a lot of moisture to work with. this is a cold pattern for us. we get the systems that drop if out of the north. but it will toss a few showers possibly around mt. hamilton and around the coastal range into tonight and tomorrow morning. just like we saw

the chance of rain are going to be increasing. for tomorrow, 36 in santa rosa. 37 in napa. 36 in concord. 42 in fremont and san jose, with 41 in los gatos. and for tomorrow, we're going to see the daytime highs warm up in the south bay to the upper 60s. it's going to be really nice through the afternoon hours. this is going to be one of the warmest spots on the map with 70 in gilroy, 70 in santa cruz. 68 in san jose and also 68 in los gatos. not quite as warm with plenty of low to mid-60s here. 62346 dublin. 62346 the castro valley. and double 6s back for hayward. san francisco, 6 for you. 66 in san rafael. and 67 expected in sonoma. time now for that toyota tahoe snow report. and here you can see up across the sierra, we're expecting temperatures in the low to mid-40s. also, plenty of sunshine with a snow base of 26 inches and at alpine meadows also looking at a snow base of 60 inches. a little better when it comes to the snow base at alpine meadows. it stays sunny friday and saturday temperatures drop off a little bit this weekend and how about that next possibility of rainfall. we've got
